EDS II ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT

Electronic Management of the Daters movement
Access to the information stored in the Interface Connector

The Control Unit is the central core of the EDS II, permits programming and all necessary
operations processing for the optimum system running and Electronic Daters updating.
The following functions are programmable throughout an easy and password protected menu:

• Date and time programming
• Keyboard sound option
• Language selection
• Password change
• Electronic Dater positioning test

· CONTROL OF PRODUCTION PROCESS
· Storage of mould activity data.

Mounted in a metal housing for ease of assembly to the outside of mould. This item provides the connection
between the Control Unit, the Electronic Daters and the Machine Connection Cable whilst also storing the following data:
• Installation date and the registration code
• Total cycles made by the mould

The front of the interface plate has a Sub-D 37 contact socket where the Control Unit is connected. The rear part, includes
6 female RJ 12 connectors, numbered from 1 to 6, for 6 Daters of different types and models. The order in which these are
connected is not important since the Control Unit will identify them automatically, but only when they are plugged in for the first time.
The interface Connector also incorporates two specific rows of connectors:

· PERFECT, EFFECTIVE AND PROFITABLE TRACEABILITY

The Electronic Daters, 12 mm. diameter stainless steel body hardened finished AISI-420, incorporate a high precision micro motor to assure
with the Electronic Control Unit the automatic update positioning of the marking insert. The entire Unit has been designed to work properly
under the hardest temperature and pressure conditions produced in a thermoplastic mould’s cavity. RJ12 connectors and telephone type
cables have been used to connect the Electronic Daters. Both cables and connectors are easily adaptable to the required length with the use
of a crimping tool. Working temperature up to 100ºC.

There are two types of ELECTRONIC DATERS to adapt to any possible mould design: Electronic Shoulder Dater and Electronic
Long Dater : Valona y Largo. FIVE STANDARD MARKING MODELS

ELECTRONIC SHOULDER DATER The Electronic Dater, 12 mm. diameter, a shoulder to be placed between plates. This unit includes a bushing to support the shoulder if necessary.

ELECTRONIC LONG DATER This Electronic Dater, also 12 mm. diameter, incorporates a 300 mm. lenght extension steel AISI-420 made, and a metal base, to be assembled like a standard ejector pin. You can adapt the unit to the required size by cutting the metal extension to the required length.

FIVE STANDARD MARKING MODELS
Both Electronic Dater types are available in five Standard marking models:

MINUTES - 5 minutes intervals, updates 12 times an hour… without excuses or distractions.

HOURS - Hours making, updates 24 times a day...with no breaks.

DAYS - Positioned 28, 29, 30 or 31 times a month…

MONTHS - 12 times a year, but always at the right time and automatically whenever required.

YEARS - 10 years of full automatic operation... guaranteed in all models.

So... once you have them in your moulds you can forget about marking problems on your parts and
finally have true TRACEABILITY
